Is this 2025.1 compatible?

Does UBOAT game really take the dead zones of GHG and KDB into account? For me there are no dead zones with GHG. Not in manual listening mode and not when an ai officer operates the hydrophone.

Have you had any other experiences?

yes, that's what i thought too, since i work a lot with the hydrophone in submarine but always make extreme mistakes with the range to get an accurate bearing, 60 -100 km range is just too much. at least in my opinion

The real ones? They don't so much have a range. After all, it depends on not only the device, but the ocean environment, the source level, and whether or not there's an acoustic path between the source and the listener at all. It could be anywhere between 1km and 100km, though the latter might not have happened at all during WW2, definitely not a normal occurrence: needs everything to be perfect. Quiet sea, good weather, quiet boat, loud contact, connected by a convergence zone.

Think of it this way: what is the "range" of your hearing? It will depend on pretty much the same factors as it does with sounds in the sea.

what range do the hydrophones have, U boat gives it as approx. 100 km, the mod team of Silent hunter grey Wolfes with approx. 35 km
