This small yet powerful scout unit is fully capable of operating independantly for an indefinite amount of time. With 2 machine guns and a basic rocket launcher it requires fairly advanced materials but is cheep and packs a resonable punch.
All that said it does not carry the small warp drive and as such can not operate at longer ranges.
I would reccomend it be used to explore the planets of a subsystem. It is also reccomended you stock it with the portable heater/cooler, tent, portable o2 generator, spare biofuel, spare oxygen, crushed stone, and wood.
From those resources you can craft just about everything you might need in the onboard constructor and easily get other things from local resources.
