As the next major release of Solargene, which is already in public beta, has it's own loan offers, this mod is obsolete for the next release and won't be updated.
That's exatly what this mod is made for. The duration of these loan agreements is between 2 and 13 weeks (=3 months). In my recent playthrough, after 3 months I had already 180 Mio credits and all loans paid back.
I'm starting with an earth space station, building my moon space station and then my moon ground base. While doing science on the space station, I start Helium-3 mining on the moon.
So I managed to earn this money with science and delivery contracts only.
I'd say, give it a try. The conditions aren't that hard as it looks like. In my experience a loan over 3 months is already unnecessary long.
You don't have to pay the interest weekly, it's a bullet loan where you have to pay for everything at the end only. However, weekly compound interest is charged and you must make full repayment even if you repay the loan early.
Having the loan repaid in weeks seems like you can't use this for starting cash. I'm pretty inexperienced but I don't think I could make a few billion in a few weeks in the game, in game time.
If there was already bad repution or a lot of money needed to be seized, there still may be the danger for a terminated business relation. But if you have good reputation or only little money got seized, you should be safe. Still you need to care to get out of the red again.
There is an idea of seizing expensive commodities to avoid the reds and for less reputation loss, but therefore I need to get more experienced with object orientated programming and the data structure in Solargene first. So this may or may not happen some day in the future.
If there are problems which need to get fixed, let me now.
As for now, there is German and English language available. Any other languages will use the English language file. If you like to help for translation, let me know.
... as easy as it is to get started with this mod, you never should dare to fail the agreement.
Your money will be seized, even if you happen to be in the red afterwards. Additionally your business relation to this nation may be terminated at all.
So even if it's easy to get started, you should care to comply with these agreements as the consequences will be harsh.
Never played XCOM, so I don't know what's the system there. A frequent funding would be possible (as an separate mod) for sure, but I wouldn't do that just for the relationship alone. Nations should get a benefit for their funding, so I already like the existing contracts for science or building facilities for them.
The question is - is it possible in principle to implement a system of financing by nations in mod, as in XCOM? When at the end of the month all nations pay you funding, the amount of which depends on the relationship with that nation.
