Nuka-Cola Quantum was created in October 2076 by the Beverageer Division at Nuka-World. It was a byproduct of Project Cobalt, which began in 2076 when Nuka-Cola Corporation engaged in weapons research under U.S. military sponsorship.[1][2] The team found that a strontium-90 isotope derivative, originally developed for military ordnance, created a bright blue glow that worked well as a food additive when adjusted for consumption. The lead Beverageer, Rex Meacham, gave the new drink formula its distinctive name.
