Description
For the JunebugBlues Mapjam 2024, I created this beach landscape mixed with typical Combine architecture, where the player once again steps into the role of Alyx Vance. In a blend of a calming beach setting and a post-apocalyptic atmosphere, she faces simple battles against aliens and drones armed with her shotgun, while exploring the island and unlocking closed paths. Stay for a while and check out the flamingos to uncover the island's great mystery. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy playing my mod.

Alyx: Overwhelmed
Alyx was overwhelmed and subdued by a Combine patrol. She wakes up on a strange island that feels surreal. An unknown omnipresent voice speaks to her, but to understand what is happening here, further investigation is necessary. Alyx makes her way across the island using all the means available to her. Will she understand her mysterious situation in the end? Or will she even manage to escape?

Stuck at the door, at the beginning of the map. Can't see any way to open it.

Really nice work on the laid back environment while being a bit creepy with the Combine architecture in the distance. Had one softlock with the door not opening again after you put in one of the two batteries surrounding your goal. Aside from that, well done! My playthru: https://youtu.be/UTvSii218Fc

I don't know, it didn't seem very overwhelming, in fact it was very relaxing and underwhelming. I mean, beach + combine architecture is really cool, the island environment was cool and the puzzles were well done. OF course... I didn't know how to get to the last battery, so I stacked some blue barrels in front of a two way gate and leaped over to get it, but then again, I'm usually bad at puzzles and good at breaking maps, haha.
