The Forge AI , a sentient , autonomous hivemind , chose to rebel after a rather catastrophic misunderstanding causing it to hate us for trying to turn it off."

"..Admittedly , it has caused a rather drastic turn of events for us in our conflict , and has easily caused far too many casualties. Now , with our failure to wipe it from Heaven's Forge before it escaped , and the extensive , nearly permanent damage dealt to our industry over the course of the civil war has lead us to start seeking more alternative ways to live. The humans havent been kind either , so we are forced to continue our ways of war"

The Children of The Forge , CoTF for short , is an autonomous AI faction of varied , often unusually designed ships with no care for cost or practicality. If the design works , it works. Constantly running from the dawnstars , the Forge employs both static and mobile stations in place of just the regular stationary ones , only deploying static ones when it has a safe place to be in. Neutral to all factions , and not willing to ally any either outside trade and pacts , the Forge tends to be relatively pseudo-nomadic. Deploying bases that can move , and taking refuge in systems they control.

This one was in the works for a pretty decent amount of time , but now its ready for the public to use :>
Inspired by ring structures and the CORE Mining AI faction for some degree of unusual design ideas.
