HIMS Castellan's Gambit

Built in response to the increasing prevalence of torpedo boats, destroyers, and various other light threats among rival navies, these heavy gunboats are intended to provide superior firepower to Pydrinck's own flotillas, and to act as highly capable screening ships for larger fleets. Capable of delivering a withering broadside from their its purpose-made 6" twin mounts, the class was necessarily built far more sturdily than other ships of comparable size in order to withstand the resultant concussion and blast. Unusually, the ships also feature a single large propeller as opposed to the multiple smaller screws more common to the type, intended to maintain a competitive top speed despite greater mass and to simplify its mechanical workings.
