JBM Africa Ablaze

Africa Ablaze is an ARMA 3 mod covering cold war era conflicts in Africa.

Currently it covers several conflicts:

1. The Congo Crisis, 1960-65
2. The Portuguese Colonial Wars or Ultramar
3. The South African Border War and Angolan Civil War
4. The Rhodesian Bush War
5. The Nigerian Civil War, 1967-1970
6. The Kagera War, 1978-1979

My aim is to deliver factions that are as historically accurate or plausible as I can make them with available assets. I try to minimise use of placeholders and will generally (but not always) pass on trying to represent equipment with implausible placeholders.

All factions are Alive compatible.

The mod contains 28 factions:

For the Congo

- FRELIMO (jbm_o_frelimo) for Mozambique

For the Rhodesian Bush War

For the Nigerian Civil War

(if you're curious Uganda is BLUFOR because Tanzania is OPFOR to make its historical alliance with Mozambique work. The FPLM sent troops to aid Tanzania)

- Eastern Bloc Advisors (jbm_o_advisors)

Flags and Props

Flags are also provided for the relevant African and European nations. Many uncommon ones, Katanga and Biafra, plus various African political movements and guerilla armies (MPLA, FNLA, ZANU, ZAPU, Frelimo SWAPO etc).

My work here is mostly config to pull it together. I didn't create the actual models or textures used in the mod.
