This is my updated entry for the Two steps back contest, where you needed to only use the vanilla editor. The original version is here: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3283545407

It's a No-Element-ish map with simple layout yet unusual solution that is entirely logical if you have been good at physics at school.

Difficulty:
Puzzle: Easy. Having played No-Elements helps.
Execution: Easy.

Tips:
You can take your time while juggling between portals.
Air-strafe sideways with A,D.
Jump from ledges to make strafing even easier.

Physical background:
If these laws still apply, a body with zero potential energy flying at a 45 degree angle has half of its energy in its horizontal velocity component. You could also say that the horizontal velocity is by the Pythagorean theorem 1/sqrt(2) times the total velocity. Since energy is proportional to velocity squared, the corresponing energy is half the total one.
In other words, the glas halves the height you reach.

I've experimented with the idea in my own maps many times. I'm quite familiar with it now. Never used the glass though.

Thanks for sharing @SHOOD ! Your comments on the 5 made me laugh :D In theory, neglecting friction, the glas exaclty halves your energy. However, the you exit out of the angled panel at a height >0 and you can jump and crouch, so 5 is not entirely impossible. Maybe you can do it by strafing towards the upper part of the portal in the shaft s.t. you exit at an angle >45°, which would make the glas destroy less energy. This is the reason I had to make the pit so narrow. I would not try it though. Probably that would be frustrating. But I am also not a speedrunner.
I think you solved it amazingly efficiently while still exploring every option.

Cool map, with a clever way of enforcing an unexpectedly long solution through restricting visibility with the big glass pane. Thumbs up!
