Dropped in Style - Custom Ground Models

描述
New ground models for all vanilla armour, clothes, backpacks, crossbows and replacement limbs. It is purely a graphical mod, not adding anything new to the gameplay.


All cloth has been realistically simulated to be on the ground using Blenders cloth simulations.

While some meshes are a bit denser (as to cover holes in them that are not seen while it's worn), I've been able to shave off thousands of triangles on a few others, making them lighter on your system.

Items will land more accurately where you drop them.

The models will probably float a little over the ground, as to avoid clipping issues. The ground height is not precise and varies, and thus I've chosen to be on the safe side. Some ground clipping may still occur in some cases.

Most of the mod is compatible with any others, but it replaces the hive chain and leather armour. They still look the same, but the UV-maps had to be changed.

I can also recommend forks' Better Floor Models mod. It does the same, but only covers armour.

Permissions are granted to use this mod in anything to do with Kenshi modding. Credits are optional, but appreciated!

Just found out I had the FCS steam uploader set to private visibility, so that's how that happened.

Nice to see the mod page back, was wondering what happened to it. By the way the wanderer game start character starts with a rusty chain shirt, I assume left over from testing the previous issues with that item, just thought id let you know! Is a quick fix in the FCS at any rate.

@JaxiPaxi i am sure, in the object 18-Dropped in Style.mod as normal map you have ./data/items/undershirt/Male_undershirts01_chain_N_HI but it should be ./data/items/undershirt/Male_undershirts01_chain_N_HI.dds as an example

My mistake, very random, don't know how that happened. I'll hopefully get around to fixing it soon, don't want to make a hasty patch, as it's been a while and I need to get into it again to not make more silly mistakes.

Are you sure you don't have any mods that change the material on the chain shirts?
I have "undershirts01_chain_dark_ground.dds"
and "undershirts01_chain_rusty_ground.dds"
They are not the same as vanilla textures.
I don't have time to fix issues right now, but I'd like to know, so I can fix both when I get to it.

so.... for Shirt Chain Dark and Rusty you forgot to add the .dds
