Obligatory only works in singleplayer/local hosted games.

While me and a friend were playing a custom map, we started talking about Tanks and Witches.

Since we used a mod that gives Tanks 10K HP, no matter the difficulty, we felt terrified when encountering Tanks, but got a thrill when we killed them.

Then there was the Witch, just a simple shotgun to a specific spot and she was dead, no true threat from her besides bad spawn positioning.

So why not raise her HP? In the Left 4 Dead 1 intro she was percieved as a terrifying encounter, you could tell she was a true threat, but killable.

And now it's so well known with people that even people who don't even have 1 hour in the game know that she's Cr0wnable, hell it's even an achievement.

She's still Cr0wnable BTW, it just takes 3 shots now instead of 1

TL:DR I edited a mod to make the Witch scary.

Scratch what i said earlier, witch shows up with 10k hp but only with 1k of actual HP

I keep seeing on both this and the improved witch Ai that they don't work together but i haven't came across that at all

it really doesnt work with the improved witch ai. Kinda sad, but i rather have a witch with more hp than an improved ai i think

They did change the pace of the game, alright: by making it very slightly more annoying to deal with her, before you move on.
In fresh-install lobbies, she may or may not kill someone. At anywhere else, she's worth a medkit or some pills.
In Versus, she rarely impacts gameplay in high-level (like in comp or sweaty pub servers), unless spawned at incredibly specific spots.

Personally, I just think it's a flawed game design as a result of the game's lifespan, like TF2's Sniper class.
