Scorpion class assault fighter

The scorpion was one of the first space fighters ever built. It's original purpose was actually to serve as an escape pod for larger ships and installations. Due to old reactor designs, and poorly built frame, this ship is limited in flight capabilty, as well as the amount of mountable weapons for it. Many have been redesigned into Scorpion v2s or Valkyire Transports. The rest are usually used for target practice for turret gunners. Also the preferred fghter for pirates (for whatever reason)
