The CCS class battlecruisers are the backbone of the Covenant´s navy, and its speartip during the human-Covenant war.
Well armed and protected, these large vessels are nontheless still quite manouverable and fully capable of planetary flight.

The ship is designed to take on enemies head on, taking advantage of its heavy prow armor and its curved hull to absorb and deflect incoming fire. Its side armor is considerable too, but its top and bottom are weak areas. Whilst large, it is still fairly mobile, and its up thrust is considerable to allow for planetary flight and evasive actions.

Leaving atmosphere is best done by simply using the ships massive up thrust (this needs about 10% of the ships fuel). At around 0.25gs, you can turn the ship to use only its ions for the rest of the trip. I wouldnt recomend using the bombardment rocket launchers till an enemy base has been mostly disarmed, or you risk exposing your up thrusters. Around 1:10 scale.
