Ignoring the rest of your ranting, I'm pretty sure its because in a nationalist ideo dying for the group is considered something brave and virtuous. Its also just how it is in the original mod.
Yeah carry on living in your small world of "good guys vs the bad guys".
Egalitarians deny cultural, religious & racial superiority & view from the perspective of cultural relativity & anti hierarchy.
Egalitarian ideologies demonise successful groups & excuse the more savage, less successful groups.
Look at the hypocrisy of how the left heavily criticises Christendom but always emphasises the virtues of the Islamic world, even though the Islamic world has some of the most misogynistic, anti-LGBT and xenophobic culture & laws.
An ideology or religion that views itself as superior to cannibals (from an egalitarian believing primitive "ideologions" is likely a result of their history, hardship & environment) but isn't particularly xenophobic or anti-hierarchy is already represented with neutrality.
Egalitarians seem to oppose those they consider a threat to their foundations, which is hierarchy & supremacy itself. This can come in the form of explicitly trying to eradicate culture & religion itself (represented with conversion).
I might consider that next time I touch this mod. If you want to tweak this mod yourself, go ahead, just give me proper credit.
