Faction Unlocker [ALPHA].pack

描述
--Unlocks most of the factions in the game.
--It is setup where a modder can use as a dependency, there are also dummy frontend portraits that can be replaced or made using the exact naming scheme. This allows a modder to have a frontend faction leader portrait without needing to startpos.
--Any unlocked faction can function normally except they have nothing unique added yet, so you can only recruit native units and so on.
--The groups are somewhat meant to be either cultural or region specific so that people know where they are going to play, eventually I will make maps for each faction so it shows it as well, but I am waiting to do that until after the big update coming to the game since the maps will change.

WARNING: will not be compatible with any other start_pos mods.

Shout out to Kelly for startpos help and Ganossa for being able to use his mod Agony to help with lua scripting.

So far I'm just working on the sea peoples. My hope is that other modders help flesh out some of the factions. After that update I likely have to remake the faction unlocker (since they are touching the same factions I have).

Any plans to flesh out and polish the minor factions that won't be touched by the summer update? Like giving them unique leaders and troops?

For the sea peoples I cannot add the minors as they are in the game currently (lua scripting prevents this). But I am working on a mod that turns the in game ones to "kin" and I am making all of the minor sea peoples from scratch. The list of factions for this is ekwesh, denyen, teresh, tjeker, denyen, weshesh, and shekelesh. They will all have factions units and unique faction leaders as well.

You can't play as any of the Cypriot factions like Paphos and Alashiya can you add them also and the sea peoples minor factions, please thank you for this mod! Iv'e been waiting for a mod like this to come out for quite a while. :D

Ty for your kind words. Yeah, any mod that changes the startpos will not be compatible. My goal here was to make the factions in a simple playable state. The hope was other modders would come along and build on top of it (making factions whole).

Another thing I'd be curious about it compatibility; I'd assume anything can and should be totally compatible with this mod here, but I mean what about mods on the workshop that already unlock something, like a new faction (or make changes to it) and have a following already, what about them? (I just did a search for "factions" and couldn't find a good example, maybe they don't exist haha!)

I'd excpect that this would either be incompatible (as similar functionality might be included already) in overhauls like AGONY or RADIOUS, is that correct? Anyway, thx for your amazing work, @ChickenLeg! <3

Hey brother, amazing mod. I understand this must be lots of work....

But if I may suggest something that you should look into short-term than it would be at least 3 screenshots, which ideally communicate - without any words - what this soon-to-be-essential mod does.
