Ω Upgraded Defensive Platforms - Expansion for SirCampalots Extended Tech Tree Mod.

This mod adds upgraded defensive platforms to the game for npc stations to use.

With this mod, the game will spawn platforms which will have tougher armor, stronger weapons and other upgraded parts from Extended Tech Tree Mod which makes these upgraded platforms more difficult to defeat.

The starter system defensive platforms tends to receive the fewest upgraded defensive platforms (because it's not fun to have your only starter ship get discintegrated by a bunch of supernukes or something) and the number and quality of upgraded defensive platforms should gradually increase in higher tier star systems.



The new variants use their name + a capitol letter (A, B or C) which designates its upgrade tier or variant which determines how much of an upgrade they have received (and thus how much more capable they are compared to the base version of these platforms) and a second small letter which designates which faction the upgraded platform belongs to (currently c, f, i and m for cabal, fringe, imperium and monolith). The 3 base variants A, B and C will generally follow these trends:

The A variants will have minor upgrades consisting mostly of minor upgrades to armor, storages and fire extinguishers and maybe a boosted reactor and advanced cockpit.

The B variants will feature further upgrades that will also include more upgraded armor and things like advanced shielding and other non-lethal improvements.

The C variants feature upgraded weapons, making them have much more firepower compared to the other variants.



This mod is very similar to my mod Upgraded Enemy Fleets (which can be gotten here: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2952084198 ) and works in a very similar way and should also have pretty good cross-mod compatibility and more robust stability since it uses the game default spawners to spawn alongside the default game defensive platforms. The latest Cosmoteer patch added the medium defensive platforms and I expect more will be added to the main game sometime in the future (which I will also upgrade and add to this mod as they get released), therefor I found it time to release this mod.



This mod needs Extended Tech Tree Mod version 1.2.0 to function properly (the version from 28 March 2024 or later (it may work with earlier versions, but not officially supported), so please make sure you have the latest version of Extended Tech Tree Mod).
