T-44 & IS-3 Pack

The T-44 was the successor to the T-34, using the same turret with a modern hull design to give it a low profile, improved ride and cross-country performance, along with much greater armour. Unfortunately it was not considered a large enough improvement to warrant introducing the T-44 as opposed to increasing T-34 production, with the massive numbers of T-34s being built offsetting any advantage to smaller numbers of a superior design. Though efforts to fit the 100 mm gun to the T-44 revealed that small changes to the design would greatly improve the combination, leading to the design of the T-54/ T-55 main battle tank.


The IS-3 was the successor to the IS-2, The IS-3 was a significant improvement to the IS-1 and IS-2 The IS-3 had a new front hull and a new turret shape which became the trademark of all postwar Soviet heavy tanks to date. Its pike nose frontal armour was already pre-angled meaning that less armour was needed to maintain the same effective armour thickness on the upper glacis, while its while this low, hemispherical turret improved protection at the cost of internal space for the crew.

Q: Why isn't this "mod" showing in the launcher/ how to spawn it?
A: This isn't a "mod", its just a composition, and wont show in your launcher. You'll find this composition in the editor, once there you need to press the groups key or F2 then click on the composition icon. last pic in the slideshow above will show were that is.

Q: Why is it spawning all broken up?
A: You need to click off Vertical Mode & Surface Snapping before spawning any comp, last pic above shows were to find it. Also rotating it in the editor can cause it to come apart.

Q: What maps were used for the pics?
A: Various IFA3 maps
Various Northern Fronts maps

Q: Why is the T-62 needed?
A: The T-55 from cup had to many issues with the scaled up T-34

- breaks if rotated in editor
- AI wont target them
- shadows on IS-3 are broken
- no roof mounted dshka
