The ACR PT-40 Mobile SAM Platform was an idea which at first was seen as nonsense give the weight that would be put on the PT-40s rather unreliable suspension but when tested the results were more than pleasing to the ESA's engineers working on the project. Yet being being unstable at hard turns, the ACR PT-40 SAM was rapidly commissioned into service with the ESA.
