Lets NPC's suppress you while you're in cover.

sv_npc_suppression - 0/1
sv_npc_suppression_range - any number - how far is considered a "cover"
sv_npc_suppression_range_divisions - any number - how often to stop and check visibility with the enemy during the cover check
sv_npc_suppression_ticks_skip - any number - how many ticks to skip. the higher - slower reaction time, but more performance
sv_npc_suppression_sync - in case the npc list gets desynced from reality

does this only affect the half life 2 npcs or does it also affect nextbots (vj base, drgbase, ect.)?

social guarantee might have the best maps in terms of being fun in the entirety of the workshop

he does know where you are, as soon as the game registers you as his enemy. if you come close enough to the cover, he will shoot you, if you go far enough, he'll stop and do the necessary steps (reach you, retreat, whatever the npc thinks will work the best at the moment). if i just made the npc treat the last seen player position as shootable, it would shoot there indefinitely, which is kind of a problem.
