Ferret Space Fighter

"Developed originally as a replacement for the Bulldog attacker due to numerous issues with it's design including the complexity, cost, and short range, the Ferret is a light ion space fighter capable of a multitude of missions. While the Ferret would not replace the Bulldog entirely it was instead chosen to supplement it by taking on the role Space Fighter. Being far lighter, cheaper, less complex, and less maintenance heavy than the Bulldog the Ferret saw mass use alongside the Bulldog in space operations where its variable equipment would allow it to perform many roles. By swapping the weapons and equipment on the 6 pylons the Ferret can be configured for air to air, anti ship, patrol, and many other duties. Alongside it's full ion drive system which grants it a much greater range the Ferret's main drawback is lack of Atmospheric capability and a lighter base armament of only 2 gatling guns."
