GLaDOS, before her downfall, in Portal 1, sent down nanobots to the old salt mines to upgrade some of the old chambers with the new tech required. She even had pre-recorded messages of herself installed just incase any subjects woke up down there and ran through the whole place.

This chambers relatively straightforward, since I can't build actual puzzles for the life of me.
