描述
Announcement(9/17/24) playing and modding kenshi is now on hiatus for me. Work picked up and I lost all of my kenshi data.


Recently after again seeing the dialogue in the base game telling women in the HN that they will be selected by a man, I had the fun idea to create a recruit for it.

If playing as a solo woman, there is a chance holy priests in any HN town with a holy temple will approach to share the news that she has been selected for marriage. The man will join automatically, rejecting this honor marks you as a darkened one that needs to be Rebirthed.

What you do with him after that is up to you. Keep him or take a honeymoon trip to Mongrel, visit the Skinhouse, get a sun tan in Venge.

The character is a little barebone, he comes in three personalities with a couple lines of travelling dialogue for each, time will tell what kind of suitor you acquired.



This mod meant as a fun addition to the basegame writing provided by the Kenshi devs.

@Grave Thank you! Even though it was a new game, importing the save fixed the problem

@Smitty Could be a bugged spawn. When I was making it there was the rare time where the husband character didn't spawn with the town. Not sure what I can do about this.

OK I just had to come back and say this mod is a blast, my husband is an absolute horrible douche and will probably get a very violent divore soon. But this is great for RP purposes!
Are you going to keep working on it? More personalities, more lines?

This will only trigger if your squad has a solo female right? So having any plus one will prevent you from being drafted into commitment?

Outstanding idea. My absolute favorite game start is as a solo woman in the Holy Nation, just to see how long I can put up with their crap. In one playthough, I managed to build a tech library, a drug lab, a nightclub with nude dancers, and an underground railroad that freed slaves from Rebirth before I finally got caught and had to flee and join the Flotsam Ninjas. This will make those runs a hell of a lot more interesting.
