Oomox

Oomox is an audio enhancement which tones down the explosions and laser weapons in the game to be less jarring and ear piercing. Don't get me wrong, it's still plenty loud! It just is more normalized to the ambience of the game.

Not all files have been adjusted, just the ones that were a little over the top. Roughly 119 out of 165 of them.

Recommended Installation:
Play this with 'TNGAmbience' and 'TNGComputer' along with Oomox.

* TNGAmbience replaces the warp sounds of the vanilla game with something less repetitive.

*TNGComputer is a modification which adds a clasy fusion of Star Trek TNG computer sounds (NOT a MISH-MASH of random TNG files). It adds a wonderful enhancement to the vanilla game.

All three mods play nice with each other. As far as I know, they don't conflict with any known mods.

Where does the name Oomox come from? The Ferengis of Star Trek consider the stroking of ones ears to be VERY gratifying.. it's soothing (and exciting!). I thought that as this mod would be 'soothing' on the ears, it was a fun tongue-in-cheek play on my Star Trek series of mods for SPG2.
