The 6000 Series (6000系) is an AGT vehicle type operated by Hiroshima Rapid Transit on the Astram Line.

A new transit system vehicle developed for the Astram Line, the 6000 series entered service in conjunction with the start of operations in 1994. The type is a fixed 6 car formation with all powered vehicles, and uses a single guide rail which also functions as a current collector. The exterior design emphasises a continuous flow from the front to the roof of the train, and a sense of cohesion between the cars. All vehicles feature a long seating layout, and there are foldable seats in the front car which can create a wheelchair space when stowed away. In order to improve passenger comfort, the seats were constructed with assistance from manufacturers of automobile seating, which features a ergonomic shape and absorbs vibrations. 22 train sets were produced prior to the Astram Line's opening, with 1 additional set added in 1998 to increase operational capacity. In total, 138 cars of this type had been manufactured. Starting from 2020, the 6000 series had been gradually withdrawn as the design lifespan of 30 years were approaching. Per the latest data, 13 sets have been retired leaving 10 sets in active service, with operations planned to be unified to the new 7000 series in 2025.
