Iron Europe (Modern Times Mod)

The Iron Europe mod takes Crusader Kings 2 to the modern era. I have been working on this mod for a while now. There are many, many features that I won't get to explain so feel free to ask any questions.

There are three major bookmarks:
-The Fall of the Ottoman Empire (1922)
-The Cold War (1948)
-Modern Times (2017)

There are several other bookmarks in between on custom game setup


-In States that are democracies, every citizen gets a vote. And once you are elected, that character rules for only 8 years. Unless you are at war or have Controlled Succession, you have no choice but to step down and play as your successor

-In States with Controlled Succession, every citizen gets a vote, but only for candidates have the 'Potential Successor' title given by the current leader

-"Piety" is now "Political Will" and you will need some to declare wars and draft soldiers

-Any country can apply to join NATO. In order to apply you have to click on the current American president. You need at least 100 Political Will (might raise that later), but your acceptance will depend on your laws, how much power your council has, and how close you are to Russia. Any country can apply to NATO but if you're outside of Europe you'll likely not be accepted. If you're playing as the US, the ai will petition you to join NATO

-Imprisoned characters will face trial and have their fate decided by a judge. The Supreme Court Judge is a voter title that is appointed by the president and serves for life and is responsible for executing justice. The options to execute and banish characters have been disabled

Update 6/21/2024:
-New Term Limit Laws- Democracies will start with a 4 year term limit that can be raised to 8. States with Controlled Succession start with 8 year term limits
-Petro Poroshenko leads Ukraine at the 2017 bookmark. Poroshenko will be replaced by Volodymyr Zelensky in an event that launches in 2019. If you are playing as Poroshenko, after the event launches you will play as Zelensky. If Zelensky dies, you will be replaced by another person.
-Russia cannot launch SMO until AFTER the Euromaidan protest event in 2019 (there will be a global notification)
