Firstly this is a remake of https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2827080218 and all credit goes to Yaki if Yaki wants to contact me due to me uploading this mod you are free to do so.

Yaki's MakeShift Clothing

Are you in need of clothes ASAP but are too disgusted to strip down a dirty zombie ? Or are you looking for something that fits your medieval lifestyle ? Wait no more, use your curtains as a beautiful dress or pants !

You can only find trashbags ? No problem, here's a shirt, some shorts and shoes !

With more skills, make some medieval dresses and tunics or use leather to make some primitive clothing and armors!

This mod adds 54 new craftable clothing, perfect for RolePlaying in different eras !

Content

Crafting Enhanced Core has been removed as a requirement for this mod for people such as myself that do not wish to use that framework all the clothes function the exact same though.

Tattered Clothing Addon

Activating this addon makes all the zombies spawn with destroyed and tattered clothing to emphasize on crafting your own clothes. The zombie loot will be very rare.

Its a super easy mod to make adding crafting recipes is one file you could take a crack at it yourself if you want there is an example mod in your zomboid mods folder that shows the basics and otherwise you can look at already existing mods code all you need is visual studio

OK, anyway well for example lets say its 5 thread to make rags / ripped sheets or 10 twin or 1 yarn, but if your not a modder, if you could pass this on that would be awesome, like it sucks that there is no way of carfting rags by your self, if you wanna do a survival run out in the woods.

Ah I see this isnt my mod though this is just a remake of an already existing mod to not be dependent on crafting enhanced core

So the devs didn't think about people wanting to do a survival run...out in the woods, where there is no Zs around.. and there is no way of getting rags / ripped sheets. So.. there is a mod that allows you to make thread form cut grass..kinda like in real life.. with banana leaves, well.. if you have enough thread or twin you could make rags / ripped sheets, to then go onto making...well clothes, that goes perfectly with your mod, just another way of obtaining rags / ripped sheets. Its up to you.. at the end of the day, if your not feeling it, its all good.

Can you be more specific you should be able to make them by ripping clothes like normal

I kinda like it, lets me make pants after crafting a knife and boxers dont give any insulation or protection via sewing

unfortunately thats a problem with the original mod while I did some bug fixes I probably wont update this again unless the original is updated but thats unlikely

Needing scissors for sheet clothes kinda sux :s Could you make it (or add) knife variants plz, as making a stone knife would feel like the next step after crafting ripped sheet clothes

But actually, I'm here to say that ripped sheet gloves give leather when torn w the knife lol
So I'm able to skip a tier (as well as having to look for scissors) and just go straight to leather loincloth
