‘Scraped off’ a better wording perhaps?

@76561198257037211 the majority of Pharaohs, such as Thutmose II (Hatshepsut's predecessor), Thutmose III (Hatshepsut's co-ruler and successor), Merneptah, Ramesses III, etc. wore fake beards, so it's not something unique to Hatshepsut.

After her death, many depictions of her were covered up or destroyed.

What is the point of the change ‘she with the fake beard’ 👉 ‘she whose face has been covered over’? Hatshepsut is in fact one with a fake beard, and I fail to see what your new wording refers to and in what way it is better.
