if you are farming dropped parts just carry a weaker weapon around in your cargo so you can swap to it when you find the Tech that drops the parts you want and use the big cannon to obliterate anything that annoys you that is NOT the tech you are hunting.

I don't argue the cannon is effective, it's comically powerful, but not so great for drops, as it obliterates any delicate parts

there is legit no need for other weapon

I running a quad kestral frame with 12 3m offroad wheels in a staggered arrangement, with 12 auroras, 2 heaters, 2 medium boosters, tractor beam, and 4 harvesting lasers, I strap on big bertha for the artic, because running a bit hot works out. Don't forget to set buttons so you don't cannon the rock you're trying to tractor.

@Cristari, yea it got Meteor Cannon, but I like my vehicle that got 9 Aurora L-7 cannon with 3 rows of battery. No ammo needed at all also 3 full tab of cargo hold with 2 Pulse Furnace to keep it warm in snow biome.

you can put colored parts at floor and copy for use with [С] button (I call it parts palette)

you also need to overwrite the snapshot once the part are reassemble
(but yes, @DKTauren is right)

I believe when you colour your parts and drop it on ground till you are done with those then put it back together then you will have multi colour parts instead of just 2 colour
