描述
Allows you to assimilate pops into other integrated cultures.

How it works:

1) The game checks every player pop yearly, and every ai pop decennially.

2) Every recently assimilated pop has a 50/50 chance of staying as your primary culture or being assimilated to a nearby accepted culture.

3) If your governor policy inside an area is set to cultural assimilation, pops in that area will only convert to your primary culture (making assimilation work the same way as in vanilla)

4) If your governor policy inside an area is set to local autonomy, pops in that area will only convert to your nearby accepted culture (if there is one)


Works great with Culture Conflation (Put Multiculti after Conflation in the mod list)

@Papak Multiculti is third-last in my mod order (behind only INR - Invictus and Terrain Map Fix, neither of which touch the same parts of the code).

I am 100% sure that the governors didn't pick another policy—this was the capital region, and I was quite frequently checking policies and pop counts. The pops were assimilated that year, and the number of primary-culture pops dropped back down at the yearly on_action.

@Eiszett Are you using any other mods? Are you sure the governors didn't pick another policy in the meantime, or that the pops didn't migrate/die? If none of that happened, contact me on discord @_papak or through the Invictus server so you can send me the save and see what happened. In my tests, the feature works as intended.

The Cultural Assimilation policy doesn't actually force them to stay as your Primary Culture. I watched the numbers for a province go from 6 of my culture to 3 with the new year on_action in a province with that policy, surrounded by other provinces with it.

@Ray the Great You can set the governor policy of an area to local autonomy, that way no pop will assimilate to your primary culture. If you want to edit the mod itself, you need to increase the number next to "#50/50 Chance" inside mc_onactions.txt

Great mod :steamhappy:, but the amount of roman-assimilated berbers in PUNIC Africa is still too high for me, any way to increase the 50/50 chance of newly assimilated pops to flip to the close accepted culture?
