Anyhow. It's a shame the game only displays 128x128 pictures for the minor species. I have many of the races at higher resolution, but all those pixels are wasted.
The Jebyoux ended up becoming creepy spider like creatures in the current version. I certainly will keep the generic tentacled one in for something.
The Harshiro from the DLC also seems to use the same graphic as the Halgothi from Altair. I think I'll let the Halgothi keep their graphic, if I get to replacing the DLC duplicates.
I once has the idea that the Jebyoux would be like, hermit crab aliens, since they use the arthopodal xontar picture and one seems to use a stolen Harshiro ship (since we seem to enocunter a proper harshiro in the dlc)
I agree that the Irulian/Boscan and in general the syndicate are a confusing mess. For now I've just used the new Boscan portrait for anything clearly labelled "Boscan" in the game files, but there are still many encounters that use that tentacled placeholder picture. I might make a separate picture for the mining bases, because I think there is no clear indications that they are Boscan, and being rude seems to be a shared characteristic amongst all syndicate races.
