This reuploaded mod will replace M60 with Stoner 63 from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, made for those who don't want to risk their game to have unstable FPS and occasional audio cuts with many HQ-ish mods installed.

What's provided in the original mod by Lynx Eichel:

  • Weapon model with animations and sounds
  • Incorrect firing and handling sounds
  • Fast reload speed

What's provided in the hexed mod for M60 by Lynx Eichel:

  • Weapon model with animations and firing sounds
  • Unused handling sounds
  • Combat Rifle handling sound events

Changes I made to Lynx Eichel's hexed mod:

  • Compressed the .vtf texture files by resizing them to half of their original resolution
  • Added the custom HUD icon in TLS format
  • Converted most of the Combat Rifle handling sound events into M60 handling sound events
  • Replaced firing sounds with proper firing sounds from Warzone 1.0. They are taken from Laby's original port for Garry's Mod
  • Replaced unused handling sounds with proper handling sounds from BOCW. They are also taken from Laby's original port for Garry's Mod
  • Accurate reload speed (optional via a custom script provided in the Required Items)

Known Issues:

  • The weapon model has broken lighting.
  • I couldn't figure out the handling sound event for rifle_ready_1.wav audio file in the viewmodel's .mdl file. This could be replaced with M60.Deploy sound event, which plays rifle_deploy_1.wav audio file, where I can add a proper audio for closing the latch.

You have to subscribe to all Required Items to the right of the description. Please keep in mind that the custom script mod only works on local servers. So, if you use this mod on any official/unofficial online servers, there's a chance that you'll be kicked from the server.

REMINDER: While the purpose of these compressed weapon mods is to minimize the risk of unstable FPS and occasional audio cuts, some of them still have the potential to cause game crashes, as their .smd file(s) (a.k.a. their uncompiled model files) may exceed Source's 17,433 vertices limit. Unfortunately, there's little I can do to address this issue, as splitting their .smd file(s) into different parts requires more skill and trial and error than simply compressing the texture files. Besides, I usually don't take mod nor friend requests.
