Shadow Moses Island

描述
A remake in Garry's Mod of the nuclear weapons disposal facility on Shadow Moses Island, Fox Archipellago, Bering Sea, southwest of Alaska. The location of the events of Metal Gear Solid.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • Has nodes for NPCs and a nav mesh for nextbots.
  • A gas mask can be used to survive the Laboratory. To turn off the electrified floor, destroy it's control panel.
  • The prone mod is needed for you to fit through some gaps and vents.
  • The weapons and items from MGS1 & MGS2 are also featured, if you have my pack installed.

No, there is no custom campaign in it, it's meant for sandbox.

This map is based. PEAK mapping here. Actually. Like I highly recommend one explores this map with the proper player model to suit the vibe, stealth mod, enemies, stealth weapons, timely music mod with a custom stealth music and Metal Gear Solid music folders respectively and you are good to go with a cool experience on this map.

I wanna create a Gmod Realism film using this map, it's just easy to get lost in some areas and some hard parts to navigate or record for footage, but with some video editing I could work something out on a cool map like this. This map is iconic!

I can explain: the more things exist in the game world, and the more data they have, the worse the game will perform, especially the host in multiplayer, because it has to send all that data to the players. This map has 244% the max amount of recommended entity data.
Your computer being able to handle the map well did give me some reassurance though. I'm busy at the moment, but I might revisit working on this map at some point.

Honestly, I have no idea about network traffic and the like because I'm extremely stupid, but this card even works great for me. As for the flight, it only hangs at the beginning for half a second - one and a half, and then it works just as well, and my computer is far from the strongest. :Taboo:

It's possible, but I don't know if people's computers can handle it. Some people reported that this map makes their games crash when they respawn or noclip. This map is only 57% as big as it can be, but it has 244% the average network traffic of most of Valve's official maps.
