crashes on custom campaigns

could you please add to this addon that it only triggers if the player doesn't have a melee? that way it will only be triggered when needed and also at the start of the map instead of every chapter, in hardrain in example this could be the difference between a game crash or a perfect performance for a mod pack containing this addon.
