Voidswimmer

A long time ago, this was an ordinary Swimmer, no different from any other. But then, while exploring the world, it fell into the void, unable to escape. Instead of evolving through the rest of the stages like any ordinary Swimmer would, it changed into something barely recognizable as a Swimmer.

It grew much longer and became a shade of blue reminiscent of the void itself. The stubs that would have grown into powerful draconic wings instead became small fins. An entire pair of eyes disappeared, while those that remained became an eerie glowing blue. Its hands morphed into suction cups while its feet became small and more like that of a Terry than a true Swimmer. And then, its entire mind changed, full of a void-dweller's instincts rather than those of the Swimmer it once was.

After the many transformations, it ended up as a creature known simply as the "Voidswimmer". It stays close to its aquatic origins, living near the particular area of void that one ends up on if they slip through the void-gate behind the waterfall. Seems like treasure being hidden behind a waterfall is a universal feature in video games. Of course, that depends on if you can even call a void-gate "treasure".


...At least if you don't, adventure mode still gives you parts to collect behind the waterfall so there still is something to consider "treasure" back there.
