The Traxx Pack (Bombardier/Alstom Class 186)

The Traxx is a staple of rail transport in Europe and is commonly seen hauling both freight and passenger trains across Europe's many diverse rail networks. Traxx is a (somewhat forced) acronym for Transnational Railway Applications with eXtreme fleXibility.

Built by Bombardier from 2000 to 2021, and by Alstom from 2021 onwards, the Traxx series of locomotives is known for its flexibility and cross compatability with different railway electrification standards. Traxx locomotives are often seen sporting four pantographs which allow for switching between AC and DC overhead catenaries.

Although originally made for Germany's Deutsche Bundesbahn railway, Traxx locomotives have been sold to numerous other countries including France, Israel, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Spain, Hungary, South Africa and the Netherlands.

The Traxx is also commonly seen in the fleet of locomotive leasing companies, as the versatility of the Traxx makes it an ideal rentable asset.

This pack contains primarily the BR/Class 186 Traxx variant. The 186 variant is technically called the TRAXX F140 MS (140 km/h top speed with passenger gearing, MS for multi-system), but is often refereed to as the Class 186 or BR 186 by the locomotive's operators.

Audio was captured and mixed from a Netherlands Spoorwegen BR 186 (Slight mixing with default startup and rolling stock sounds). No custom horn though.
