GLaDOS decided to test your abilities even further. She's given you a portalgun for this test, but she altered the gun to make portals unstable. They will only allow someone or something to pass through once before one side collapses.

Good luck solving this test. You'll need it.

Difficulty estimated: Medium (6/10)
---[ Scientific explaination ]-------------------------
Portals consume some energy to maintain themselves. Normally when a portalgun fires a portal, it is set to draw energy from the light caught on surfaces. This is why a portal will fire on a white surface, but not on a black. By changing the energy used to fire a portal from the gun, it is possible to make the portal unstable. With very little energy, a portal will collapse after a certain time, or, as with this test, with just enough energy to sustain itself, it will collapse as soon as someone or something passes through.

Good job. Yep, that is mostly the intended solution. You managed to get the lasercube in a slightly better way than my solution originally meant to be, but given it is such a clever way of doing it, I consider that an approved solution. :)

I know it's the style. It was an early complaint when the style was new and teamspen reduced the volume of that sound. Maybe in the version you're using it was back to the very loud noise again for some reason.

Thanks for your kind words Toncica. Glad it brought you this. I can't comment on the sound as its not within my control. To my knowledge, it is the same as "Access Granted". But maybe its a combination between using that style and the vanishing portals.
