What's nice about those signpacks is that they allready include valid locator files (from hopefully quite trustworthy host, the MX site) so everyone loading a map made with one of those will get the sign(s) automatically downloaded for showing.
About the Signs: Since my "speed.X 31"-Track (unreleased) I'm thinking about using other signpacks for my tracks. It is always good to have f.e. some Drift-Signs (especially for this map here
Many of my tracks were created using the signpack from the SFD-Clan (which is a very good one) but the problem was that the signpack isn't freely available for everyone, so I had to change the signs back to standard.
I'll have a closer look on the links you have posted and if the signpack looks nice I will use it for my new tracks :)
Greetings from Germany
