Remove Space Debris

Too many tiny rocks flying past your ship? Starting to think you need windshield wipers made of jackhammers just to see? Not talking about asteroids or space junk, but the purely visual particles that float past the ship.

This mod removes these distracting rock particles in space allowing you to enjoy clutter-free space. Their intent is to give you a sense of speed and movement, but there are enough other frames of reference around the ship that they're not essential.

The end result is that it just feels like there's more space... in space.


Mod Compatability Notes:

This mod only changes the Spg2\Base\Particles.wdt file, which means it does not change the actual Particles texture atlas. If you use a mod that changes any particle textures, it should be fine with this mod so long as it doesn't also change the .WDT file.


Installation:

• Subscribe
  
• Start Starpoint Gemini 2
  
• Go to the Mods section in the menu in-game.
  
• Select RemoveSpaceDebris and click the "Install Mod" button.
  
• Click the "Installed" checkbox next to the mod name.
  
• Restart the game.

Manual / GoG Installation:

• Download the mod by clicking here.[drive.google.com]
  
• Extract the .7Z using 7-Zip: http://www.7-zip.org/
  
• Place the RemoveSpaceDebris.sgm file into your "Starpoint Gemini 2\Mods\" directory.
  
• Start Starpoint Gemini 2
  
• Go to the Mods section in the menu in-game.
  
• Select RemoveSpaceDebris and click the "Install Mod" button.
  
• Click the "Installed" checkbox next to the mod name.
  
• Play SPG2. You should not need to restart the game.
