**ENV ‘Vitesse’ Lore (Short)**

The vitesse (Meaning speed in french) is a low armour fast action scout vessel. It was developed and brought into service in record speed to fill a gap within the navy’s capabilities during the ‘Great Raid’. The ‘Great Raid’ involved several hundred EvoTerran Navy vessels moving into Pirate territory in the first ever recorded Large-scale offensive. The Vitesse gained the nickname ‘Glass cannon’ due to it’s heavy weapons and light armour. But, during the later periods of the raids she gained a new name… ‘Bloodspite’. This name came from it’s now famous participation in 60% of the recorded war crimes committed by the EvoTerran Navy during the raids.

This most famously included: the fast and utter destruction of civilian occupied colonies, the destruction of fleeing enemies and the Ouattisha incident where a vitesse class rammed a city’s reactor killing a estimated 1.3 million. The vitesse comes from a very dark time in history but still remains in service (To the dismay of some) as it’s capabilities, in the right hands: cannot be understated.

Once members of the Honourguard the crash survivors of the battleship: L’ancre made a home for themselves on the hostile planet of ‘EvoTerra’. Due to the adverse effects the mainland ecosystem on all nearby planets caused on human biology they adapted by creating expensive cities in the seas! It wasn’t long until a new civilian government was created, using advanced technologies the inner planets remain to this day as communist utopias.
