Puli's story is a tragic one. The mysterious Sheophis who slain Tpana sealed away his sapient spear in that hidden grotto didn't take into account a crucial factor; those insects thought to be mindless critters were actually a people descended from a bygone era, the second iteration of the universe. Puli belonged to a small civilization that somehow managed to survive the collapse of the second without Ayann's assistance. How they did this has been lost to history since everything about them was devoured by Tpana's spear as it "slept". The spear's name, "Llomeshia", was taken from Puli's people who were driven to madness and death by the vengeful spirits clinging to the spear. After their end, they merely became sustenance. Puli, a simple villager among his people, was one of the few who fought these spirits in order to cleanse them. An act which later attributed to his disembodied escape from Llomeshia. Before this were to happen though, Puli just like his people suffered. To the tunes and for the amusement of Llomeshia no less. Upon escaping, Puli found before him a series of events that lead to him possessing an opal of a body. This discolored portion of Puli's body aren't the results of healed wounds, it is the taint left behind by what he experienced made tangible. In order to cleanse this, he must find Llomeshia, now awakened with the freshly resurrected Tpana, and destroy them.
