TATRA AIR

TATRA AIR was a Slovak airline founded in 1991 as a joint project of SLOV-AIR and Crossair. In 1991, the company received the first Saab 340 aircraft with a capacity of 35 seats, with which it flew on its regular routes to Munich and Zurich. In 1992, Crossair left the project and took its Saab 340 aircraft with it. Alphalines joined the project instead of Crossair. Thus, TATRA AIR resumed operations with two Saab 340B aircraft and added a line to Frankfurt am Main to the original lines. Later, the company ran into financial problems and was forced to close down due to debts.
