The Project: Synapse edit of Terminal 6 updates the map while keeping its original Half-Life feel. The lighting and fog have been improved for a more atmospheric look.

Interiors now use textures from Half-Life: Alyx, giving them a fresh appearance while staying true to the series’ style.

The layout has been adjusted to better fit Project: Synapse gameplay, refining spaces for a smoother experience.

Roughly eight years after the Seven Hour War, the Combine established a cordon on the northwestern outskirts of a grand Eastern European city known as City 17 to manage the influx of global refugees. Forced into squalid conditions and harshly mistreated, these refugees were sorted based on their usefulness to the Combine's industrial operations. Families were torn apart, with children sent to preparatory institutions, leading to brutal riots and the eventual abandonment of many sections of the district.

Now, many years later, the formerly known Terminal 6, serves as a temporary holding area for citizens awaiting proper integration into the city.
