Description
Addon adds additional dynamic lighting for game entities and makes your game more shiny.
More information on screenshots.

Addon is quite performant and should not cause any performance issues. If you have any problems please report them, I will try to fix them as soon as possible.

ConVars
  • dlight_controllers_entities ( def. 1 ) <0/1> - Enables creation dynamic light emitters for game entities.
  • dlight_controllers_bullets ( def. 1 ) <0/1> - Enables creation of dynamic light emitters when entities fire bullets.
  • dlight_controllers_bullets_* - lighting parameters.
  • dlight_controllers_explosions ( def. 1 ) <0/1> - Enables creation of dynamic light emitters when something explode.
  • dlight_controllers_explosions_* - lighting parameters.
  • dlight_controllers_env_fire ( def. 0 ) <0/1> - Enables creation dynamic light emitters for env_fire.

FAQ

How prohibit specific entities from emitting light?
To do this, you need to add entity class in JSON file: "garrysmod/data/dlight_controller_entities_blacklist.json"

Neither fire nor bullets seem to emit dynamic light while every other feature seeming works fine

maybe in the future if the addon won't work 100% on singleplayer, you probably should add it on the description rather than have people to swim through the comment section on why is not working, not trying to be mean just trying to tell you
