Operation X (HL2 Custom Campaign)

Another day to fight the Combine that gets in your way in this simple campaign in the style of classic shooters, perfect for testing your cool GMOD SWEPs.


WARNING: I am an amateur GModder, since I have only very basic knowledge of Hammer and no knowledge at all on how to use VSIF2VCD, which means that this campaign is by no means perfect and has flaws here and there. This would affect your overall experience with it, but it shouldn't stop you from completing it. Any feedback is appreciated.

WARNING #2: The part in the third map (operation_x_03), where you have to deal with the three snipers, is frustrating to go through, as you have to be quick on your feet to either throw a grenade at each of them or shoot at them (not only with explosive weapons/SWEPs, but also with regular ones if you have a mod that allows you to kill armored NPCs with regular bullets) and run to cover the split second the sniper fires. If you cannot stand this any longer, don't feel bad turning on god mode for this segment.

ALERT: There may be a CTD during the map transition between the penultimate (operation_x_04) and final (operation_x_05) maps, which I, unfortunately, cannot fix at all currently. As such, you can just manually load the latter map after you complete the former.

DISCLAIMER: This custom campaign has only been tested in sandbox singleplayer, with the only mods being tested with this map are MMOD effects, MMOD HL2 weapon replacements, MWB/TFA/TacRP SWEPs, Combine soldier model replacements, VManip addons, and HUD addons. I'm sorry to say this, but I cannot guarantee the campaign's stability if you use more complex addons (such as the ones that alter NPC's AI) and/or play it in multiplayer.

ANOTHER DISCLAIMER: This custom HL2 campaign is not mine, as I laid out its original information in the lower part of this description. If the original author wants me to take it down, I'll do so.

You have to get out of the city seized by combines, for this you need to get to them at the main base and take advantage of their teleport. Good luck with that.
