The Duchess class submarine is a dreadnought-inspired heavy attack and exploration submarine. Designed to be a self-sufficient mobile base, the Duchess has fabrication stations for scientists, engineers, and weapons specialists, as well has diving gear for combat and exploration.

The submarine is a well armored and armed, featuring 4 railguns and 6 coil guns, with enough ammunition to make any pirate or monster think twice about getting in the way.

The pride of the Duchess is the power system, which was designed to be extremely efficient. The cold fusion system requires only water from the depths of Europa, giving it an unending service life. Engineers can turn on and off individual subsystem charging to divert power to engines to give the slow submarine increased speed.
