Because i love being nitpicky ;) didnt MoM use d10? (thats why everything is in 10% steps)

Yeah, that is a good point; dice pools are not familiar to as many people.

I am familiar with things like 3d6+5 which Is roll 3 6 sided dice and add 5.

Yeah I asked once if people knew dice notation. Nobody answered either way so after a while I started using it.

Dice notation uses "NdY", where N is the number of dice, and Y is the size of the dice. 5d100 means roll 5 dice, each with 100 sides. Normally you'd total the result, but <= 30% says, for example, if you roll 1, 23, 45, 67, 29, then your result is 3.

And a hundred-sided die is normally a percentile die. Which is normally rolled using two ten-sided dice.

It's common in tabletop RPG rules discussion.

What is this 5d100 attack, 5d100 Defence??? 5 attack is just 5 rolls at 30% each to hit?
