As one of Akira Maeda's top opponents in the Fighting Network RINGS promotion, Volk Han dazzled audiences throughout Japan with his mastery of Russian Sambo.

Han's charismatic personality and dizzying array of complex submission holds garnered the Military-trained Command Sambo practitioner numerous MMA wins and title opportunities. A track record that continued to reinforce the promise of Sambo alongside fellow World Champion Chris Dolman.

While Han's in-ring exploits are all but forgotten except only to the most-passionate of MMA and Japanese shoot promotions, Han's influence helped train world renown Russian MMA champion Fedor Emelianenko.
