描述
The 10000 Series (10000系) is an EMU operated by Tokyo Metro on the Yūrakuchō and Fuku-toshin Lines.

The first new train set to be introduced after Eidan was reorganized into Tokyo Metro, the 10000 Series entered service in 2006 prior to the Fuku-toshin Line's opening. The type was based on the 13th batch of the 05 series on the Tozai Line, and the exterior was overseen by German industrial designer Alexander Neumeister. The front windshield has a rounded shape similar to a glass sphere, while the keyhole shaped headlights are a homage to the 300 series, which was Eidan's first type. The basic formation for the 10000 series is 10 cars, although two middle cars can be removed to operate as 8 cars instead. 360 cars were manufactured from 2006 to 2010, arranged in 36 trains. The first sets entered service on the Yūrakuchō Line as the existing 7000 series underwent modifications for the Fuku-toshin Line. Service on the Fuku-toshin Line began with it's opening in 2008, with some local trains being 8 cars. All trains on the Yūrakuchō Line operates as 10 car formations. In addition to the two Tokyo Metro Lines, the 10000 series are used on a number of through running service patterns onto Tobu, Seibu, Tokyu, and Sotetsu lines, in addition to the Minatomirai Line in Yokohama.
