I changed the research rate to a bit slower. Generally, mil tech = 4 turns, civ techs =2 turns.

doesnt really work, AI got late units in less than 40 rounds...

@PAKIET GIER TOTAL WAR if you have pack file manager simply edit the value to 200 => 200% faster

it is possible to make a mod that increases the technology time because the t1 units are well developed but not yet the t3

This was a bit too fast for my liking so I made one that was 175% instead of 400%, hope that's okay. Credited you with a link.
