This is a Plugin Mod.
It requires Bepinex to be installed with the StationeersLaunchPad plugin.

Adds ItemKitTUBE, ItemKitSmallTUBE and 90 pieces of
"Tubular Ultra-high-pressure Building Equipment"
(airtight curved walls/windows) to Stationeers.
Tubes have a higher max. pressure delta than flat walls/windows.
They can also be used as scalable gas storage or high volume gas pipes.
To be printed with the auto-lathe.

📌The Challenge with Curved Walls in a Grid System
Grid-Based Atmosphere Calculations: Stationeers uses a cubic grid to handle atmospheric behavior, treating walls as flat barriers that make a cell airtight.

Curved Wall Issue: Visually, curved walls don't completely "fill" a grid cell face. This creates an apparent gap that might look like air or entities could pass through, even though the system treats it as sealed.

Exposed Atmosphere: The inner atmosphere (inside the base) appears exposed to the outside.
Misleading Openings: Configurations that allow walkable gaps might seem unintuitive if players expect total sealing.
Gameplay Impact: Entities like devices or player tools may interact inappropriately through these "gaps," breaking the intended realism.

The Mod's Initial Partial Solution: Colliders
Purpose of Colliders: Physical colliders were added to block passage through curved wall gaps and restrict placement of objects outside those walls.
Drawbacks of Colliders:
They could interfere with gameplay in unexpected ways, such as:
Blocking intended interactions or placements.
Adding performance overhead if not optimized.

The Mod's Current Direction: Cutting Corners 🥁
The mod avoids additional colliders as well as the heavy lifting of reworking grid-cell handling
(a fundamental game mechanic) by embracing a simpler, more practical approach.

Focus on Mod Flexibility: By not worrying about perfect immersion or airtight visual sealing, the mod prioritizes form over function .
Simpler Implementation: Without addressing those issues, the mod relies on the game's core mechanics for atmosphere handling, avoiding overcomplication.

Infinity... that might change though. I would like to abuse the parts as a high pressure tank for my next playthrough. Just gotta find a good number.

You can get a sneak peek at the official discord as well as the modding discord if you use it.
Really interesting to explore the visual aspects of base building parts. The new mods focus will be cladding based with a few novel ideas in that regard. Much more in line with existing systems, more comfortable to use compared to T.U.B.E. and the in my opinion best characteristic is that if you wanna remove the mod, you wont destroy your existing bases in the process... they just end up "naked" :mern:

Got a proof of concept but the amount of parts I want in there is substantial.

Thanks for the reply, I did feel this was more an issue with the tools on offer than an oversight. I was hoping it was as simple as you forgetting to flag the colliders to not cast shadows. I understand now. Very very excited to see what's next. This mod changed my whole gameplay style.

These artifacts are a direct result of the new storm system that the game uses. They utilize storm cards now that appear on base structures as this is much more performant. This mod has been made when storms were a pure particle system and before in-world liquids existed. Touching these systems is currently outside of the mods scope.

Given that these system are relative new I also expect them to change as development continues but realistically I think curved walls will always have issues with these grid based systems.

However I do have a new building mod in the pipe that will avoid all these issues while allowing us to build very sexy bases.

Just a question, When storms happen, I can see the black outlines that must be the colliders. Is this intended or reported yet?

Outer pieces are not within the mods scope for several reasons... I am using it for actual tubes most of the time, however there are some ways to use it for more than that by utilizing cladding and other parts. Check out the workshop screenshots for a few ideas.

The sun flare being invisible is a known bug but thanks for bringing it up... this is something I will have to fix for an upcoming mod.

Is there a way to align T.U.B.E walls with other walls in the game? I have the same issue someone previously commented where they are slightly offset with double wall setups (When you put a wall on the inside it aligns properly, but if you put a wall outside it doesn't align).

Also I don't know if it was commented but the sun doesn't show up through this mod windows.
